Joshua Stone Studio

In his youth, Stone spent well over a decade painting street graffiti and commissioned murals with other top artists of the genre. This passion for public art led him to study fine art and dragphic design at Oklahoma State University. For teh past decade, he has worked for some of the top ad agencies and web design shops in the southwest, building brands for numerous Fortune 100 companies including American Airlines, AT&T, Blockbuster, Expedia, Motorola, Mokia, Pepsi, and Sony.

Stone transitioned to producing fine art full time in 2006. He ofte paints under the name "WAVE," his former graffiti "tag," or signature.

"I enjoy creating pieces th=at work on different levels. I want the viewer's experience to change when a piece is seen up cloase, and as they gradually step back. I'm combining graffiti elements with blocks of images, and [I] like the randomness that the string overlay creates. This provicdes coexisting complexity of detail and simplicity of composition."
