Texas Flute Society


Texas Flute Society is a non-profit organization in the North Texas area that furthers the activities and education of flutists and includes students, teachers, adult amateurs, as well as professional flutists, patrons, and friends.

Scheduled Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening during a weekend in May, The Annual Texas Flute Festival consists of concerts, recitals, masterclasses, and workshops presented by world renouned guest artists. Flutists of all levels have the opportunity to play for clinicians and receive feedback and/or participate in a Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced Flute Choir.

The Myrna W. Brown Artist Competition, held in conjunction with the Texas Flute Festival, is open to flutists of all ages and attracts contestants from all over the world. In addition, exhibitors fill two spacious ensemble halls with music, cd's, flutes, and flute merchandise for your shopping pleasure.

Fall and Spring Events are comprised of recitals, concerts, masterclasses, workshops, and/or clinics.
