Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) has been sponsored each April by the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History since 2004 to draw public attention to the glories of American Jazz as both an historical and living treasure.
In honor of this important national initiative, a number of jazz presenters, jazz educators and jazz supporters in Dallas created D’JAM to coordinate a series of events showcasing jazz in the greater Dallas community.
