The City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) is committed to the arts and that commitment is evidenced by the many opportunities for citizens, visitors, artists and organizations to share in our city's cultural expression through the arts. OCA provides support and creates partnerships with the many Dallas arts and cultural institutions. We are guided by our mission, which is stated in the Cultural Policy as approved by the Dallas City Council and with review by an 18-member Cultural Affairs Commission advisory body. Together we all work to provide access to the diversity of art and culture that is Dallas! Our artists and arts and cultural organizations are able to access funding through a variety of programs including the Cultural Organization Program, Cultural Projects Program, Neighborhood Touring Program and the Leadership Exchange and Advancement Program. In addition, the Office of Cultural Affairs provides opportunities to individual artists to create art through the Public Art Program and maintains a public art database of City-owned art at our Museum without Walls. We also provide a system of Cultural Centers that include the South Dallas Cultural Center, Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, Latino Cultural Center, Juanita Craft Civil Rights House, Ice House Cultural Center and the Bath House Cultural Center.
