Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency

Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency advances the production and presentation of new work and ideas by a national and international community of artists and writers by providing an arena of generous support and historic space enriched by the local legacies and community of  Corsicana, Texas.  100W is the founding site for this residency program:  Constructed as an Odd Fellows Lodge in the 1890s, this unaltered building provides almost 11,000 square feet of usable space on various floors and in various configurations.  100 West Third Avenue.
Anteroom is a small window-front exhibition site presenting work relevant to this residency's origin and evolving narrative.  Viewable from the sidewalk, my appointment, and during Open Studio events.    411 North Beaton Street.

Samuels is an 1890s retail building, originally Samuels Men's Clothiers, representing part of Corsicana's early, vibrant Jewish community with about 2,000 square feet of project space with a window-front display.
Storefront is the residency's bookshop and community programming space with a restored 1920s retail shop and photography studio.  Storefront features literature and visual work by residents, as well as workshops, exhibitions and public events.
