Flamenco Fever aims to create a sustainable flamenco community through various educational or performance initiatives, so that the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex can cultivate and experience the same quality flamenco as enjoyed in other cities in the nation. While theater performances are part of our annual event schedule, we also host dozens of free and lower priced events in restaurants, bars, and music venues. Echoing the tradition of the flamenco “tablao”, this festive and accessible environment is meant to welcome new audience members to attend, bring their friends and, for some, to enroll in weekly classes offered in singing, dance and guitar. Flamenco Fever is committed to sharing the art of flamenco as part of inspiring and diversifying DFW’s cultural landscape, while preserving the Hispanic heritage of Oak Cliff, where it is based.
