Dallas Ballet Company

“The mission of the Dallas Ballet Company is to provide quality pre-professional training and performance opportunities to aspiring dancers in a disciplined and nurturing environment, encouraging personal accomplishment and fostering a life long appreciation of dance to the benefit of the local community and the future of dance arts.”

Who we are:

The Dallas Ballet Company (DBCo), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in association with the Dallas Ballet Center, was created in 1989, under the direction of Brent and Judy Klopfenstein, and supported by a Patron’s Guild, to inspire young dancers on a pre-professional level to perform and enjoy the creative art of dance. Dancers, beginning the age of twelve, are encouraged to audition for DBCo for the following levels: Junior Company, Apprentice Trainee, Apprentice and Company.

What we do:

Annual Nutcracker Productions, Full-Length Classical Ballets, co-produced with the Dallas Ballet Center, Challenging Repertoire, Guest Choreographers, Master Classes, Travels Abroad, Local Performances for the Community, Regional Dance Festivals, and Merit Scholarship for Dancers attending Summer Workshops.

DBCo funding is largely achieved through membership dues, DBCo Guild support, grants, and ticket sales from DBCo annual performances.
