Savory House Press and its sibling imprints are part of boutique publishing house based in Fort Worth, Texas. Our aim is to produce quality books that are value priced.

Begun in 1994 as a mid-life crisis venture by journalist Barry Shlachter, it has evolved into a publisher of cookbooks, travel books, humor books and a nationally acclaimed beer guide.

 Printing and binding is done in the United States by family-owned businesses in North Texas.

 A socially conscious venture, proceeds from several books benefit Texas charitable or historical groups, and every effort is made to engage writers, photographers, designers, illustrators and editors who left daily journalism during the industry's crisis.
