Town and Country Coffeehouse Concerts

Town and Country Concerts are smoke free, alcohol free and family friendly. The music varies but is usually Folk, Americana, Bluegrass or Jazz. We feature orginal singers and songwriters. We have set this up as a live music listening venue located in the Family Life Center of the Lake Cities United Methodist Church. It is not for profit and run by volunteers. The money collected at the door goes to the musicians and for operational costs. Our aim is to provide a community service and promote live music.

This is a very different experience for listening to a concert than in a bar or large concert hall. This is intimate, up close and personal. Maximum seating is 200 and has been reached on a very few occasions such as the concerts by Guy Clark and the Quebe Sisters Band. Most often our numbers are between 40 and 75 in attendance. Seating is at tables in folding chairs and is casual. Although the concerts are held in a church we usually present secular music.

Artists presented have included Texas Gypsies, Brave Combo, Kate Campbel, Guy Clark, The Laws, Robin and Linda Williams, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Tim O'Brien, The Quebe Sisters, Ruthie Foster, Chuck Pyle, Tom Kimmel, Slaid Cleaves, and Bob Franke.
