Turner House

The Turner House is the home of The Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts. Founded in 1926, the OCSFA was originally a social organization that promoted art, music, poetry, literature, and music. In 1957 the OCSFA purchased 401 North Rosemont (later named Turner House, in honor of founding board member Mrs. E. P. Turner) as its new home. Built in 1912 as the home of J. P. Blake, one of the founders of the Winnetka Heights addition to Oak Cliff, Turner House is an excellent example of modified-prairie four-square architecture. Turner House is available for rental and provides a beautiful and historic setting for weddings, receptions, banquets, parties, and other celebrations of life events.
