Interactive Film Screening

Nicholson Memorial Library System - Central Library

Adults can celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the film The Matrix by attending an interactive film screening at the Central Library. The screening takes place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.

In The Matrix, a computer hacker living a double life learns the true nature of reality and his role in the war against the super-computers trying to quash the human rebellion. The Matrix is rated R due to sci-fi violence and language. This event is open to adults ages 18 and older.

The first 50 attendees will receive a bag of props and cues to use at specific times throughout the film. Props will include glow sticks, puppets, and snacks. Attendees are welcome to dress as Matrix characters and quote along with the film.

The Central Library is located at 625 Austin St., in Downtown Garland. Due to planned construction, event locations are subject to change.
