The Center for Mexican American Studies at the University of Texas at Arlington invites you to the artistic performance Valentina by Ballet Nepantla on Wednesday, October 2nd, to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
Ballet Nepantla's newest show, Valentina, is inspired by the history of the Mexican Revolution and focuses particularly on the unbounded bravery of women revolutionaries, known as Adelitas during the Mexican Revolution. This show nicely captures the intent of Hispanic Heritage month in its elevation of Latinx performers exploring cultural and historical themes that have been central to the development of both Mexico and the United States.
