Inner Moonlight:Tom Farris & Harry McNabb

The Wild Detectives

Inner Moonlight welcomes Tom Farris and Harry McNabb this month! Brief open mic to follow. Bring a poem. We dare you.

Tom Farris is the subject of many poems and books of poetry, including Victor Clevenger’s tom farris is my brother. and Paul Koniecki’s tom farris is my safe word (both by CWP Collective Press). In 2017, he wrote a split book with Victor Clevenger called Ginger Roots Are Best Taken Orally, which is published through EMP press. He is an alumna of the Osage Arts Residency in Belle, Missouri, where John Dorsey lives atop a hill on Eagle Lane. He has been published in several dope places, including The University Scholar and Mad Swirl. He is the founder of Free Tongue Press, which so far in 2019 has published Josh Weir’s An Old-fashioned American Catastrophe and Harry McNabb’s Vacuum Stories, and hopes to publish much more.

Harry McNabb is an artist who has performed at countless open-mics over the past ten years. He was a singer-songwriter and a poet, before he found his voice as a writer of short-fiction. Harry’s goal as a writer is to distract you from your life and engross you in another world through humor and fantasy. He has a collection of fiction out right now called Vacuum Stories.

Inner Moonlight is the second Wednesday of every month. Mark your calendar and we’ll see you there!

“Follow your inner moonlight, don’t hide the madness.”
—Allen Ginsberg, from On Being a Writer
