This two-day event will bring together theologians, scholars, and artists to address the current social climate as well as public policies impacting Latino/a families and communities and how those policies test human rights commitments and the democratic process. As part of the program, the Meadows School of the Arts will host an art exhibit, featuring local visual artists and Meadows students, at 5 p.m. Friday in the Hope Theatre lobby, curated by Sofia Bastidas and Gerardo Robles. The school will also host a performance of Jessica Carmona’s Elvira: The Immigration Play at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Hope Theatre.
