FWTX Women's Movement: Afghan Cycles Documentary Film Screening

Trinity Valley School

Following a new generation of young Afghan women cyclists, Afghan Cycles uses the bicycle to tell a story of women's rights - human rights - and the struggles faced by Afghan women on a daily basis, from discrimination to abuse, to the oppressive silencing of their voices in all aspects of contemporary society. These women ride despite cultural barriers, despite infrastructure, and despite death threats, embracing the power and freedom that comes with the sport.

Join Mellow Johnny's Fort Worth, the Trinity Valley School Experiential Education Program and Bronwen Gregory, the founder of the FWTX Women's Movement Speaker Series on Thursday September 19th at 7 PM at the Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, TX for a screening of the inspiring documentary Afghan Cycles to kick off the second season of the FWTX Women's Movement speaker series. There will be a short Q & A & discussion following the film.
