Keynote Event - UNT International Year of Indigenous Languages


University of North Texas - University Union

This keynote event kicks off a series at the University of North Texas on indigenous languages. The UN has designated 2019 the International Year of Indigenous Languages, and UNT is a registered partner on this initiative. The keynote event features presentations by Healing Sacred Voices and Daryl Baldwin. Healing Sacred Voices is an initiative of American Indian Heritage Day in Texas, a Dallas-based grassroots organization. Baldwin is a member of the Myaamia nation who works to restore its linguistic heritage, and a recipient of the MacArthur Award. This event is free and open to the public.
This will take place in the UNT Student Union, Room 333.
