A choral collage of timeless gems and brilliant new works opens our 57th season. The program includes Bruckner’s motet Os Justi, Mozart’s Regina Coeli K. 276, settings of two American folk hymns by Shawn Kirchner and Abbie Betinis, Jake Runestad’s provocative “When the Caged Bird Sings,” and Elaine Hagenberg’s moving “When We Love.” With jazz/pop legend George Shearing’s Songs and Sonnets on Shakespeare texts as the grand finale, performed in the fabulous I. M. Terrell Performing Arts Center, this is a concert not to be missed. Joined by the I.M. Terrell A Cappella Choir, Megan Gackle, director.
Directed by Dr. Karen Kenaston-French, Artistic Director of Fort Worth Chorale, in her premiere season!
