Summer Hangout is a 3 Day music event hosted by Last Chance Records benefiting one of Denton’s local charities, Denton Music and Arts Collaborative (DMAC), a non-profit organization created to preserve the cultural integrity of Denton by enabling musicians and artists to continue to thrive here, namely by subsidizing healthcare coverage.
Summer Hangout is a offshoot of Holiday Hangout - one of Little Rock's most anticipated music events of the year. This year's event is dedicated to the memory of DMAC’s co-founder and Vice President, Andy Knapik. Andy’s warm, friendly personality was a perfect fit for Denton, where he became a regular volunteer, community activist, devoted husband, foster father and adoptive father.
Attendees can also participate in free daytime programming, which will include musical performances, featured speakers, yoga, local vendors and more.
Summer Hangout is a 100% volunteer run music event. All proceeds from this event benefit local charity DMAC Denton.
