The Junior World Affairs Council of Lake Highlands High School invites you to attend a public talk on the journey of the refugee. Panelists have first-hand knowledge of the experiences of refugees around the world. Panelists: Lily Heine Espinoza, Community Engagement Fellow, Dallas; UNICEF USA; Mark Hagar, Area-Director of Refugee Services of Texas in Dallas; Suzy Cop, Executive Director - US Programs, International Rescue Committee.
The event will be held in the library, 4:15-5:15 p.m. It is free and open to anyone interested in refugees, human geography, and global awareness. There will be opportunities to ask questions and find out how you can help.
