The Mesquite Arts Theatre presents Neil Berg’s widely acclaimed 100 Years of Broadway, a musical revue of Broadway’s most celebrated shows! 100 Years of Broadway recreates the greatest moments from the finest productions of the century, such as The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Jekyll & Hyde; and stars some of the best singing talents in the DFW metroplex: Mesquite Arts Theatre veterans Tom Briscoe, Emily Reyna Croy and Dennis H. Gullion; Mesquite Arts Theatre newcomers Doris Villarreal and Ursula Villarreal; Rockwall Summer Musicals stars Molly Pope and Robert Richardson; Repertory Company Theatre member Jimmy-Lee Beard; Oh Look Performing Arts Center star Jennifer Sowle; Amber Does Dallas member Hazel Gray; and The Vagabond Players of Terrell member Keith Craker.
NEIL BERG is the composer/lyricist of the hit off-Broadway musical The Prince and the Pauper, which ran for two years at the Lamb’s Theater in New York City. The New York Times described it as “…soaring on the wings of theatrical fun.” Berg is currently writing the music for the Broadway bound musical Grumpy Old Men, based on the hit film. Two of Berg’s new musicals have been selected for the prestigious New York Musical Theater Festival: The Man Who Would Be King, a musical realization of Rudyard Kipling’s novella, and Tim and Scrooge, the sequel to A Christmas Carol.
100 Years of Broadway is directed by SCOTT CROY, whose directing credits include Brighton Beach Memoirs, Camelot, Agnes of God, The Lion in Winter, and Mousetrap. Music Director is JANET BEHNING, whose musical directing credits include South Pacific, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Something’s Afoot, Godspell, Annie, Guys and Dolls, and Once Upon a Mattress.
100 Years of Broadway runs for nine performances in the Black Box Theatre in the Mesquite Arts Center, located at 1527 N Galloway Ave. Mesquite, Texas 75149 from April 26th - May 12th. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm, and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm.

Walk-in tickets can be purchased day of performance on a first-come first served basis until the house is full - Box Office opens one hour before curtain on site. Seating begins a half-hour start time and ends promptly at curtain. Seating is limited, so calling ahead is recommended.
