Soprano Angela Meade in Concert

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

ANGELA MEADE INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED SOPRANO - Performing in concert during the 2019 Fort Worth Opera Festival
Presented by The McCammon Voice Competition and Fort Worth Opera

Hailed as “the most talked about soprano of her generation” (Opera News), opera superstar Angela Meade takes a break from the opera stage to make her Fort Worth Opera Festival concert debut.

Angela Meade has risen to soaring heights since she made her professional operatic debut on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in 2008 in the role of Elvira in Verdi’s "Ernani." Since then she has fast become recognized as one of today’s outstanding vocalists, excelling in the most demanding heroines of the 19th-century bel canto repertoire as well as operas of Verdi and Mozart.

Angela Meade has triumphed in an astounding number of vocal competitions: 57 in all, including first prize at the 2008 McCammon Voice Competition, Metropolitan Opera’s 2012 Beverly Sills Artist Award and the 2011 Richard Tucker Award.
