Calling all adventure-seekers! For two thousand years, tales of treacherous journeys and unexplored lands have fascinated the minds of artists all over the globe. Some artists like William Hodges, John Webber, and Frederic Edwin Church have even packed up their brushes and journeyed into the wilderness to create their art. Join us this spring as students explore new territories through paintings, prints, and sculptures inspired by artists who went on epic journeys.
Arts After School is an exploratory program for students ages 6-10 that investigates the history of art and provides a space for creative self-expression. This program not only offers art instruction, it nurtures life skills that foster constructive youth development. Through visual analysis, personal reflection, and interactive discussions, students will assess and interpret the ways in which they relate to the world and each other while gaining confidence in their decision making and public speaking capabilities. All supplies provided. Class size is limited; advanced registration required.
New and Improved! This year, Arts After School is aligned with TEKS curriculum standards so the fun your kids are having out of school complements their work in school!
