Auditions: The Tempest

The Tempest will be a Company Directed show based on Shakespeare's rehearsal practices. The actors will each be responsible for directing, designing, and researching their own roles, and collaborating with the other actors with the assistance of core company members. Just like Shakespeare's company, we will have a very short rehearsal process. Actors are expected to learn their lines outside of rehearsal. This kind of production can be a lot of fun for ambitious, adaptable actors who like to push themselves.

When you come to your audition, please have a one-minute monologue memorized. We prefer that the monologue be in verse from an early modern play (Shakespeare or contemporaries). Dress to move, bring water, and expect to stay for 30-60 minutes. If you must be late or you need to cancel or change your audition time, please email [email protected] or call (469) 701-3228.

Actors will audition in groups during their slot. If you are interested in auditioning for The Tempest, please email your headshot, resume, and at least two different audition slots that work for you, to [email protected].

Sunday, 2/24 time slots: 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm
Saturday, 3/2 time slots: 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm

Auditions at Rover Dramawerks
Monday, 3/4 time slots: 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 10pm
