"Indigo" by Rosemary Riddle-Achelpohl, Featured Artist Show and Reception
“Indigo” the color that changed the world. Isaac Newton named and defined when he divided the spectrum.
It’s a heady mix between violet and blue. Having recently discovered this color, Rosemary has been creating new works exploring the many moods of indigo.
They are vibrant like Monet’s Mediterranean seas, and haunting as nighttime skies. Among the oldest dyes, from pharaohs to jeans. True blue dyeing still takes more than two years from plant to pigment.
Join us in celebrating the many moods of indigo with Rosemary’s oils and mixed media works.
