To Sing into Spring, CCGD’s February concert will feature the Classical and Romantic eras with music written for children by some of the most famous composers in the world including Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Schumann, Mahler, and Brahms. The choruses will sing about the beauty of nature, the joys of friendship, and the fun of it all!
A woodwind trio from the Dallas Winds, the leading professional civilian wind band in the United States, will be the featured guest artist.
As part of our community engagement programs, CCGD partners with West Dallas Community School (WDCS) to extend high-quality choral music education to students across the metroplex. Under the direction of CCGD conductor, Julie Funston, these two CCGD choruses rehearse every week in-school.
In February, the two WDCS choruses will sing on the Meyerson stage with Prelude and Apprentice at the Sing into Spring concert.
