Frontera: Myths & Realities of Life Along the Tx-Mex Border

Dallas Contemporary

The dialogues and topics surrounding the U.S./Mexico border are extraordinarily complex; discussion subjects are inherently tied to both countries’ economies, budgets, national security, and the civil and human liberties of their citizens. In honor of Margarita Cabrera’s exhibition "It is Impossible to Cover the Sun with a Finger," join Dallas Contemporary and the SMU Mission Foods Texas/Mexico Center for a panel discussion on these key issues moderated by Luisa del Rosal, the Executive Director of the SMU Mission Foods Texas/Mexico Center. Our distinguished panelists include Alfredo Corchado of the Dallas Morning News and Neil Foley of the Clements Center for Southwest Studies.

The panel discussion will be preceded by a wine reception at Dallas Contemporary hosted by the SMU Mission Foods Texas/Mexico Center.
