TKO Libations, a craft brewery in the Castle Hills Village Shops in Lewisville, is celebrating its first anniversary on Saturday, January 26, with a day full of live music, free brewery tours, games and giveaways. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. and goes until 11:30 p.m. TKO Libations is located at 2520 King Arthur Blvd., just west of the Dallas North Tollway and Park Blvd.
To kick off the festivities, TKO Libations is offering donuts and breakfast tacos for purchase early in the day. The breakfast tacos pair nicely with TKO’s neighborhood-inspired Castle Beer, a smooth and flavorful session beer; the fresh donuts are perfect with TKO’s Gingerbread Monster, a seasonal imperial porter brewed with fresh and toasted ginger and hints of cinnamon, cocoa, nutmeg, cloves and vanilla.
Smokin’ J’s BBQ will be at the Village Shops at noon, offering brisket, ribs, sausage, mac & cheese and their popular brisket-stuffed, bacon-wrapped jalapenos. The Salty Cow, a specialty cheese and provisions shop located at the Village Shops, is also offering a special mini-cheese board to celebrate TKO’s anniversary. The anniversary cheese board features manchego and fontina cheeses which pair nicely with TKO’s Belgian Abbey Delight, a strong dark ale with fig and other dark fruit undertones, as well as TKO’s Blue Corn Whiskey Barrel-Aged Doppelbock, which has been aged two months in a Balcones Blue Corn Whiskey barrel.
Local pop/indie singer/songwriter Remy Reilly, who has recently performed at the Granada Theater, Deep Ellum Art Company and Legacy Hall, will perform beginning at 2 p.m. Local Castle Hills favorite Tim Novak will perform at 6:00 p.m.
The event is family-friendly, with a balloon artist from 1-5 p.m. and games such as basketball, darts, cornhole, and various board games. The free tours of the brewery will take place throughout the day as will giveaways for fun prizes such as pint glasses and shirts.
TKO’s brew masters are known for their award-winning beers, including the Gingerbread Monster, a two-time Brew Riot winner, and Breakfast Stout at Tiffany's, a Cactus Challenge winner. Special TKO brews on tap during the anniversary celebration include the Peppercorn Saison, a brew aged on peppercorns; Mint Chocolate IPA, a West Coast IPA brewed with cocoa and mint; the Earl Gray West Coast IPA aged with Earl Grey tea leaves; and the Russian Imperial Stout, a moderately bitter and heavy stout clocking in at 11.7% ABV.
