Come to hear Lily Heine speak on UNICEF, Human Rights, Migrants and Refugees, with special emphasis on South and Central America, Burma, Africa, and the Middle East

Bio: Lily Heine is the UNICEF USA Community Engagement Fellow in Dallas, Texas. Her role is to serve as a grassroots and national spokesperson for children and bring together networks of faith-based communities, schools, universities, volunteers, advocates, elected leaders, and others to unite on behalf of children. Leveraging UNICEF USA’s education, advocacy and fundraising initiatives, she works to create transformational change in the lives of children around the world, empowering people to act locally. Prior to UNICEF USA, Lily dedicated her early career to serving children and families who have been forcibly displaced from their homes. Lily worked in the Middle East as a Community Development Liaison for a small NGO empowering women and children refugees in education and skill development. Lily is a graduate of Baylor University and holds a B.A. in International Studies.

This public event is free and open to students, teachers, parents, educational institutions and members of the community interested in global issues.
