On Saturday, November 17, Cedars residents will open up their homes and studios for the 16th Annual Cedars Open Studios tour. Renowned artists such as Albert Scherbarth, Rick Maxwell, Joshua King, plus the many new and up-and-coming artists who call this eclectic neighborhood home. Join us from 10 am to 6 pm, as they open their studios and workspaces to share live demos and works in progress.
Visit the growing number of galleries including Janette Kennedy Gallery, The MAC and the Janette Kennedy Gallery. Also, learn more about artists residencies and programs offered at our sponsor locations South Side on Lamar, Cedars Art House and The Cedars Union.
Enjoy free performances and activities throughout the tour, including live music, painting demos, printmaking, virtual welding, and a free photography class at our sponsor location Heritage Village.
Touring the studios is quick and easy with free transportation around the neighborhood from our sponsors, Efrogs Dallas and the Brew Bird Bus. Also, Bike Friendly Cedars will lead a pedal-powered tour of the studios.
Shuttle service will also be provided to/from The Stewpot, The Museum of Street Culture, and Encore Park Dallas, where you can check out their innovative programs using diverse forms of art, education, and new ideas to activate social change and build community.
Wrap up the evening with a special closing show at Four Corners Brewery featuring a special video installation and live music from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
