Among the highlights:
- The 1959 classic Imitation of Life will be the opening film; additionally, we'll unveil a never-seen-before interview with actress Juanita Moore, who was nominated for Academy Award for her role in the film
- 60+ film screenings, including works that cover social justice issues like human trafficking and bias, hilarious comedies, pieces by female filmmakers and more
- Grammy Award-winning jazz artist Kirk Whalum, with the UNT One O'Clock Lab Band, will close out the festival
- Two comedy shows featuring Piper the Comedian and Hot Topic
- A Spoken Word Open Mic/Poetry Slam Contest on Friday night
- Two art exhibitions
- All filmmaker panels/workshops are free, including our annual Creatives Resource Expo and our Women, Wine and Wisdom Panel
