'Gods and Heroes' Book Launch

This event is the Book Launching of 'GODS AND HEROES' BY OLADELE OLUSANYA, Writer, Physician and Artist. It is an all day event (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Charter Medical Center, 8067 W. Virginia Dr, Dallas TX 75237. 'Gods and heroes' is Book 1 of the 'Itan - legends of the golden age' trilogy, which tells the 1,000-year story of the Yoruba people of west Africa with a blend of myth, history and fiction. It has been called a 'masterpiece.' The Pacific Book Review says that 'Gods and heroes' may be the first step towards adding the mythology of the Yoruba people to the epics that shape the world of legend.

This book launch event will be a celebration of Yoruba art, music and culture including an Art Exhibition of works by Dipo Alao, the artist who did the illustrations for the book. The event is open to all persons of all ages including children. There will traditional Yoruba drumming, music and dances. Visitors can partake of free snacks and drinks. There is no charge for entrance, and there is free parking.
