Black Box Songwriter Series featuring Tom Faulkner and Beth Wood

Lewisville Grand Theater

Two longtime friends and talented songwriters share the stage for an intimate Black Box Songwriter Series performance. Tom Faulkner’s songs arose, in part, from the memories of his travels over the backroads of the Southwest and Mexico. His unique blend of Texas rock, blues, Cajun, and Tejano music is an inspired heartfelt expression of his life experiences, coupled with some of those memories. New listeners around the world continue to discover the timeless music found in Faulkner albums, Lost In The Land Of Texico, and Raise The Roof.

Beth Wood is an award-winning songwriter, a modern-day troubadour, and believer in the power of song. Her exceptional musicianship, crafty songwriting, powerhouse voice, and commanding stage presence have won her accolades from the Kerrville New Folk, Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Telluride Troubadour Contest, and more. She will release her 11th independent album in the fall of 2018.

The Black Box Songwriter Concert Series features performing singer/songwriters in an intimate, listening room setting. The series has attracted a variety of celebrated songwriters, such as Susan Gibson (“Wide Open Spaces” - Dixie Chicks), Walt Wilkins (“Trains I Missed,” “Seven Hillsides” - Ricky Skaggs), Ronny Cox, and numerous Kerrville Folk Festival Finalists. If you want to hear the stories behind some great songs sung by those who wrote them, the Black Box Songwriter Series is for you. This series is produced by the City of Lewisville.
