The late Brent Nance was a composer, musician, educator, and family man who was a part of some of the most important music projects to occur at South Dallas Cultural Center. He composed for Michelle Gibson’s Takin’ It to the Roots, served as Music Director for Beckles Dancing Company, Sound Engineer for several Soul Rep Theatre productions, and a Teaching Artist for Summer Arts at the Center programs.
