Artist Descending a Staircase

Amphibian Stage

Amphibian veterans Greg Holt and Bob Hess will be joined by newcomer to the Phibs’ stage, Paul Taylor in this comedic whodunit about three artists’ friendship over 60 years and the woman they all once loved, played by Christine Sanders. This time-traveling romp is part hilarious murder mystery and part love story...where no one really knows who loves whom.   An artist is found dead at the bottom of the stairs, leaving his two friends divided, each suspecting the other of murder. But there is one thing that unites them all: their infatuation with Sophie. Before she unexpectedly went blind, she fell in love with one of them after viewing his picture in a gallery, but whose face did she see? As in other beloved Tom Stoppard plays (Shakespeare in Love, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead), the laughs are non-stop, the stakes are high, and the questions asked are profound.
