Inner Moonlight: Nadia Wolnisty and Paul Koniecki

The Wild Detectives

Join us for a for the next installment of Inner Moonlight, celebrating feature poets Nadia Wolnisty and Paul Koniecki’s recent book You Gotta Let It Go Before It Takes You Over, published by Spartan Press. A brief open mic will follow their performances.

About the Book:
You Gotta Let It Go Before It Takes You Over is a book of poems you can read in the bathtub or in the DMV. Bob Kaufman and William Burroughs are gone. Elvis, Dorothy Parker, and Judy Garland are never really dead. Four poets, and one mad-cap editor who wishes he was The King. Strange bedfellows still require a bed, and that sleep-number mattress dear readers, is you.

About the Authors:
Nadia Wolnisty is the submissions editor of Thimble Lit Mag. Her work has appeared in Apogee, Philosophical Idiot, Spry, McNeese Review, Essay Daily, Paper & Ink, and others. She has two chapbooks Cringe-Worthy Poetry Finishing Line Press. Her first full-length was published by Spartan. A third chapbook is forthcoming from Dancing Girl Press.

When Paul Koniecki isn’t shoveling peanut butter and jelly sandwiches down his throat, he co-hosts Meet Me With Curiosity, a poetry showcase in Klyde Warren Park. His chapbook, Reject Convention, was published by Kleft Jaw Press. Richard Bailey’s film, “One Of The Rough” contains several of Paul’s poems and was shown at The Berlin Experimental Film Festival in December of 2016. He once featured at the Fermoy International Poetry Festival in Fermoy, Ireland where he saw a real live unicorn walk into a bar. Paul’s poetry has been published in multiple online and print publications.

Inner Moonlight happens every second Wednesday of the month! We can’t wait to see you.

“Follow your inner moonlight, don’t hide the madness.”
—Allen Ginsberg, from On Being a Writer
