The Texas Christian University School of Music is honored to present Farewell, Auschwitz -- a work from world-renowned composer and distinguished guest artist Jake Heggie at the fifth annual Festival of American Song on September 30, 2018. Join audiences as they experience what Opera News called “exceptionally compelling works.” During this special concert event, TCU’s Young Artist Diploma students (Fort Worth Opera Young Artists) will have the honor of performing this powerful composition which conveys the the vastness of the Holocaust’s scope through emotionally rich portraits of folk and popular sounds of Poland in the 1940s. Audiences are invited to witness this compelling performance on Sunday, September 30th at 7 p.m. at The PepsiCo Recital Hall.
