The harvest moon is on the horizon, and we’re over the moon to announce our fifth annual Japanese moon viewing festival, Otsukimi.
On Tuesday, September 25, celebrate the full autumn moon at Klyde Warren Park with an evening under the stars and city lights.
Enjoy a variety of Japanese music and dance performances, along with sky gazing and moon viewing. Participate in a variety of traditional Japanese art forms including calligraphy, tea ceremony, ikebana, moku hanga, and haiku poetry.
Don’t forget to bring your picnic blanket and enjoy bento boxes by Niwa Japanese BBQ. Preorder is now open!
Otsukimi is presented in partnership with the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth.
