The Carpatho-Rusyn Society: Dallas Chapter presents:2018 Dallas Slavic Heritage Luncheon Saturday, November 3rd, 2018
Please join us as we celebrate the many vibrant Slavic cultures alive in Dallas today! Attendees will enjoy a delicious lunch of buffet stations at Cru Restaurant & Wine Bar at The Shops at Legacy, Plano, 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Representatives of Dallas Slavic organizations will be present to announce local event news planned within their communities. Keynote speaker will be Professor Paul Robert Magocsi, Ukrainian Chair at the University of Toronto, who will discuss The 100th Anniversary of the Founding of Czechoslovakia. Performances by The Czech Folk and by Jagoda Polish Dancers will round out the afternoon.
Ticket holders to the Luncheon are also invited to a V.I.P. Morning Coffee and Book Signing with Professor Magocsi. 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Environmental Education Center in Plano. He will specifically discuss the Carpatho-Rusyn ethnicity during the Coffee. (You may be Carpatho-Rusyn if you have ancestry in the Carpathian Mountains of Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, or Romania.)
