BrownRandy
Imagine if Charles Darwin met Guy Clark and Van Morrison at an MIT barbecue in honor of Albert Einstein’s birthday and you’ll have some sense of the smartly clever mind and music of BrownRandy. After an 8 year career with Jealousy Motel producing 2 CDs and a great deal of success, BrownRandy decided that a solo career fit him better and in the past 11 years he's won a number of songwriting awards as well as recording 2 solo CDs.

He once again brings some friends to The Old Firehouse to perform “in the round.” The last time we entertained this kind of format, the house was full and the audience couldn'tget enough.

Neal Katz (www.katzmusic.com)
Neal Katz has been making folk music for over twenty-five years. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, he is now a local folk musician who performs his music at coffee-houses, folk festivals, living room concerts, and more. Over the years, Neal has been an opening act for a number of popular musicians as they passed through East Texas. He was also a regular at local venues in Tyler, and has played at coffeehouses in other parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Virginia.

In 2009, Neal released "Day Will Come," his debut folk CD filled with 13 original songs, and in 2010, he was chosen as a finalist for the Kerrville Folk Festival's New Folk Competition.

Connie Mims
Connie Mims began her career in Houston in the seventies with the Texas band WHEATFIELD which evolved into the band ST. ELMO'S FIRE. After disbanding in 1979, Connie pursued a solo career as a performing songwriter and studio vocalist, appearing on numerous radio ads and in the classic Blue Bell Ice Cream TV commercial, "Texas Musicians".

Her discography includes two albums, "Go Deep"(2008), and “Gettin’ There” (2012). In 2009, she was awarded “Singer/Songwriter of the Year”, by the Academy of Texas Music, the first woman to receive the honor and in 2015, she was voted The Best Singer/Songwriter of Upper East Texas by a reader’s poll in County Line Magazine.
