Cinq Gallery in the Dallas Design District pays tribute to Khoo, Sui Hoe (born 1939 in Baling Malaysia) with his first Dallas Solo exhibition. Khoo is an artist who has held over 45 solo exhibitions worldwide including: Penang State Art Gallery, Shanghai Art Museum, China; The National Gallery, Bangkok, New York, Washington DC, Houston, Tokyo, Japan and the Las Vegas Art Museum.
"Gateway and Beyond" explores Khoo's newest work of vividly painted abstracted landscapes. A powerful use of color and simple composition, this exhibition showcases his unique talent in capturing nature and transforming it.
"I work to create paintings that merge images with familiar landscapes," Khoo says. "The approach is to blend surrealist and abstract elements with attention to detail so that there is an expressionist undertone."
The artist will be in attendance at the opening reception.
