The Fort Worth Chorale opens its 56th season with a concert of music celebrating the richness of one's life as revealed in choral music. We'll sing Johannes Brahms' An die Heimat - a story of one's irreplaceable homeland; John Corigliano's Fern Hill - a setting of Dylan Thomas' tale of youth and loss of innocence; Debussy's Salut Printemps; Lauridsen's Sure on This Shining Night; Whitacre's 5 Hebrew Love Songs; Ralph Vaughan William's Serenade to Music as scored for 16 solo singers, violin, and piano; as well as delightful, smile-generating pieces from Cuba and South Korea.
