Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet's season launches with a performance at the 'ARTS TRIANGLE Dance Film Festival', a new annual event held this year at the legendary Texas Theatre. The festival will showcase a new ballet created by Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet Artistic Director Emilie Skinner in conjunction with a screening of Jacques Demy's classic 'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg' on 35mm.
Additional festival programming includes a curated selection of international dance and experimental movement films, a performance by the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group and the Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico company, small bites in a temporary Parisian Cafe outside the theatre, and more. The mission of the festival is to present a platform for both established and emerging dance cinema visionaries to the North Texas audience.
The festival runs 3 PM - midnight. DNCB performance at 8 PM followed by the film at 8:30 PM.
