ABAC 30 Years Celebration (Academy of Bangla Arts and Culture)


Moody Performance Hall

The Academy of Bangla Arts and Culture (ABAC) is presenting their 30-year celebration of promoting Bangla Arts and Culture in Texas on September 7, 8 & 9, 2018 at Moody Performance Hall in Dallas Arts District. This program is funded by the Office of Cultural Affairs, City of Dallas, Moody Arts Foundation, Dallas Tourism Public Improvement District and various local business across the Dallas metroplex.

Our 30-year celebration of Bangla arts and culture in Texas includes dance dramas, musical performances like a live performance of Tagore and Jazz as well as multiple art exhibitions, by local artists including many children will also take part to demonstrate their artistic talents. 

Enjoy 3 days of performances of eminent artists featuring:

• Fuad AlMuqtadir
• Riddhi Bandyopadhyay
• Dr Devajit Bandyopadhyay
• Dalia Nausheen
• Mahnaz Hussain.
• Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury
• Sreyoshi Dutta
• Alif Laila

- We will also feature original ABAC productions: 
‘SHYAMA’ a dance drama Directed by Anyesha Putatunda,

-TAGORE AND JAZZ DUO by Shwapnil Shojib and Shibanwita Ghosh

- Presentations by ABAC School Students, a Musical by Sharmi Ganguly and Debashree Bhattacharya.

- Our Emcees are TV and Film Artists Rini Biswas and Shomi Kaysar.

- There will be an Art Camp and Exhibition by very famous artists: 
• Hashim Khan
• Afroza Jamil Konka
• Shameen Subrana
• Fahmi Khan
