House of Home

Collin Theatre Center

Inspired by the true story of the tragedy of the Maxwell family murder/suicide, “House of Home” is a play for a large ensemble. Welcome to Campbell Hill’s annual Peanut Festival featuring live music, peanuts and games! A small southern town is forced to examine itself after a shocking tragedy, and must look to their faith and sense of community to carry on. Playwright Bekah Brunstetter, screenwriter of the Emmy winning television series “This is Us,” has said the play is “‘Our Town’ meets Krispy Kreme meets my brain.” Developed with the non-equity fellowship actors at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Summer 2010, it is produced by special arrangement with William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. *Note: This production contains adult themes and language.
