The Music Stand Revue Presents Music Is


University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) - Jonsson Performance Hall

The Music Stand Revue is a concert series to celebrate the arts. The primary genre is jazz, creatively paired with other music styles, dance, acting, literature, and visual arts.

Concert programs are based on thematic concepts and feature the unique artistry of world-class musicians and performers in collaboration with The Music Stand founder, Arlington Jones – jazz maestro, composer, and Steinway Artist (www.arlingtonjones.com).

The concerts last about 60-75 minutes.

July 15 concert:
Music Is personifies the impact of music through a theatrical music presentation with poetry, drama, and dance. Featuring the music of Arlington Jones & The Brethren and a pop-up art exhibit by critically acclaimed illustrator and painter Bart Forbes. Special Guests Christian Joelle Jones (actor/choreographer/dancer) & Spencer Jones (actor)

August 12 concert:
Olé explores the heritage of Latin and Spanish music along with Flamenco dance. Featuring the music of Arlington Jones & The Brethren, a young artist spotlight, and a pop-up art exhibit by the Stan Levenson Jazz Collection.
