The Oakridge School is preparing to launch its Summer Playdate series. These two-hour meet-ups are designed to give families something fun to do out of the Texas heat.
Each playdate is five dollars per child, which covers the cost of supplies. Children must have adult supervision present. All playdates are on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at The Oakridge School, 5900 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.

June 30:
Art Adventure
Paint personalized canvases, design your custom decals, and help create a community mosaic! Ideal for children 10 and under.
July 7:
Open Gym in the Student Activity Center
Play basketball, ride around on plasma cars, and jump in the indoor jump house. Ideal for children of all ages.
July 21:
Music and Movement
Sing along to the karaoke machine, bang on instruments and have a blast dancing with friends. Ideal for children 8 and under.
July 28:
Plant Your Food and Get Wet
Decorate your very own pot and choose an herb to plant. Then clean off by running in the sprinklers and playing with hundreds of water balloons (bring a towel). Ideal for children 10 and under.
Aug. 4:
End of Summer Party and Drive-In Movie
Create your own custom cardboard box car, grab some snacks, and enjoy a cool, bug-free, drive-in movie (the movie will start at 10:30 a.m.). Ideal for children 8 and under.
All playdates will include access to a large indoor space full of toys to play with as well as the themed activity. Guests will also have access to the outdoor playground. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected] at least two days prior (Wednesday) for each playdate with the name and age of the children planning to attend.
