Cabochon Jewelry Workshop

Nicholson Memorial Library System - South Garland Branch

Adults can learn about cabochon art and make personalized jewelry at one of the Adult Summer Reading Program craft events this July. The cabochon workshop will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 at the South Garland Branch Library.

Cabochon jewelry consists of a highly-polished rounded gem or bead, usually worn as a pendant. Participants at the cabochon workshop will use recycled book pages and clear glass pendants to make necklaces, brooches, or magnets. All supplies will be provided by the library. Registration is required to attend and is limited to twelve participants. Registration will begin Saturday, June 28. Call 972-205-3931 to register.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Nicholson Memorial Library System and is open to adults ages 18 and older. The South Garland Branch Library is located at 4845 Broadway Blvd., at Oates Rd. Due to ongoing construction, event locations are subject to change.
