Yaa Halla Y

Now a bit earlier in July, rather than August, the Colleyville - based Isis Foundation brings the biggest names and brightest new stars in Middle Eastern dance and music to the forefront of the North Texas entertainment scene with its annual “Yaa Halla Y’all: A Gathering of the Stars in Texas.”

“Yaa halla” means “welcome” in Arabic. This family-friendly, four-day event features seminars for Belly Dance, Tribal/Fusion Dance and Musical students of all levels, led by internationally acclaimed instructors and performers in the field of Middle Eastern entertainment. Each evening, the doors are opened to the public for a night of breathtaking performances by International Stars, aspiring new dancers and musicians.

Additionally, Thursday and Friday evening shows include performances by each day's instructors and The Yellow Rose of Texas Belly Dance Star Competitions. The categories vary from professional up to “rising star” dancers — solos, duets and troupes — in both cabaret and tribal fusion styles. NEW - this year is Diamond Diva - specifically for our beautiful and talented seasoned dancers! Winners in each category are chosen by a panel of judges and also an audience based winner called the 'People's Choice Winner' for each category. At times the Judges and audience agree and others they are wildly different!

Saturday evening's 'Gala Show of Stars’ features the 2018 Yellow Rose of Texas Belly Dance Star winners from the previous nights, (People's Choice too!) as well as Yaa Halla, Y'all’s Star Instructors and visiting VIPs in the field of Middle Eastern Dance.

Sunday’s performances will showcase the talents of local dancers, more advanced students of the Isis Star Dancer Studios and Yaa Halla, Y'all's Belly Dance and Drum instructors, who have taught on Sunday.

Tickets are available online in advance for $15 for the Thursday, Friday and Sunday shows, and for $23 for Saturday’s “Gala Show of Stars”

Three- and four-day shopping and shows packages are also available online.

Tickets at the door are $20 for Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and $30 for Saturday.

Belly dancers and drummers interested in participating in any of the workshops can register up to and including the days of the event. More information and registration is available online.
