The exhibition aims to explore the idea of travel and American culture through interactive photography. vernacular photographs taken in the 1950s and 60s are featured and paired with contemporary photographs Natalie Slater shot along the modern day Route 66, from the same locations and vantage points! The images are backlit and overlaid inside interactive light boxes so as to create a unique road trip experience along the Mother Road, or America’s Main Street, with a view towards both past and present.
