Author Dave Gutierrez will be giving a lecture on his critically acclaimed book Patriots from the Barrio with a book signing to follow on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm at the Latino Cultural. The event is free and open to the public. The author’s new edition of the book Patriots from the Barrio from Westholme Publishing is set to release in book stores. Company E in the 141st Regiment was an original Texas National Guard Unit composed entirely of Mexican Americans from the barrios of Texas.
